DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. \u2014 A 29-year-old Montgomery man has died following a suspected electrocution incident at a residence in Montgomery, according to the Daviess County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
At approximately 11:29 p.m., Daviess County Central Dispatch received a call reporting that a male had been found and was believed to be deceased. Deputies responded to the scene and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.<\/p>\n
Authorities said that, based on preliminary findings, it is believed that Lamar N. Wagler, 29, of Montgomery, Indiana, was working on electrical wiring at a residence when he was electrocuted.<\/p>\n
Officials also confirmed that Wagler\u2019s family contacted the Daviess County Sheriff\u2019s Office after the incident was discovered.<\/p>\n
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but Wagler was pronounced deceased. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause of death, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The Daviess County Sheriff\u2019s Office was assisted at the scene by Daviess-Martin County REMC, the Daviess County Ambulance Service, and the Daviess County Coroner\u2019s Office as part of the initial response and investigation.<\/p>\n
At this time, no foul play is suspected, and officials are treating the case as an accidental death pending the results of the autopsy and further review.<\/p>\n
