A 74-year-old woman is dead after being struck by two vehicles while walking on Interstate 75 in Warren County Saturday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n
Troopers with the Hamilton Post responded around 5:19 a.m. to the northbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 31 in Monroe after reports of a pedestrian crash. Investigators say a semi-truck driven by 44-year-old Barbaros Yilmaz of Chatham, New Jersey, struck the woman as she was walking in the roadway.<\/p>\n
The victim was later identified as 74-year-old Norma Jean Howard of Carlisle. Authorities say she was then struck by a Ford Fusion driven by 57-year-old Freddy Perdoma Sanchez of Middletown.<\/p>\n
Howard was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash remains under investigation as troopers continue to determine the circumstances that led to the pedestrian being on the interstate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
