MANOR, Texas \u2014 A 23-year-old woman was killed and several others, including two young children, were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning on FM 973, according to the Manor Police Department.<\/p>\n
Authorities said officers responded to the 11700 block of North FM 973 Road at approximately 3:58 a.m. on June 21, 2026, after receiving an automated crash alert. Officers arrived within minutes and discovered two vehicles with significant damage from the collision.<\/p>\n
Emergency personnel from ATCEMS and Travis County Emergency Services District No. 12 responded to the scene to assist multiple victims suffering from critical and life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Police identified the deceased driver as 23-year-old Jennifer Hernandez, who was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
According to officials, Hernandez was traveling in a vehicle carrying three passengers, including two young children. An 11-month-old child suffered critical injuries, and officers immediately began CPR before emergency medical personnel continued lifesaving efforts. The child was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n
A second child, approximately two years old, was also transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. An adult male passenger in the vehicle sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
The driver of the second vehicle was trapped inside following the crash and had to be extricated by fire personnel. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Investigators have not yet released additional information regarding the circumstances that led to the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
The Travis County Sheriff\u2019s Office Highway Enforcement and Accident Team and the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol responded to assist with the investigation.<\/p>\n
