Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide after a 16-year-old boy was found dead in a parking lot on Wellington Avenue.<\/p>\n
On the morning of June 25, 2026, Winnipeg Police Service West District General Patrol officers responded to a wellbeing call in the 1700 block of Wellington Avenue that led to a tragic discovery.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, officers located the body of a male youth in a parking lot. The victim was found with significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
The victim has been identified as 16-year-old Bruno Delmar Young, a member of Bloodvein River First Nation who had been living in Winnipeg. His death has deeply impacted family, friends, and the wider community.<\/p>\n
