WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. \u2014 A 31-year-old woman from Stillwater was killed Wednesday night after an SUV driver allegedly turned in front of her motorcycle while intoxicated, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n
The crash happened at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Hwy. 96. Authorities said the motorcyclist was rushed by emergency responders to Regions Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
She has been identified by family as Dana Lucker-Milan, 31, of Stillwater.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, Robert Marines Rodriguez, 63, of White Bear Lake, was driving the SUV involved in the crash. He has been charged in Ramsey County District Court with criminal vehicular homicide.<\/p>\n
Court records and a criminal complaint allege that Rodriguez was extremely intoxicated at the time of the collision and has a prior DWI conviction. His previous case in 2022 reportedly involved a blood alcohol concentration of 0.28%, more than three times the legal limit.<\/p>\n
Investigators say Rodriguez told troopers he was making a left turn on a yellow arrow from southbound Hwy. 61 onto Lake Avenue when he did not see the motorcycle. However, witness statements reportedly contradicted that account, indicating the motorcyclist had a green light when entering the intersection.<\/p>\n
Officials reported signs of impairment at the scene, including slurred speech and poor balance. A preliminary breath test allegedly measured his blood alcohol content at 0.27%.<\/p>\n
According to the criminal complaint, Rodriguez admitted to drinking a Bloody Mary and a shot of Fireball whiskey before driving.<\/p>\n
The collision has left the Stillwater community grieving the loss of Dana Lucker-Milan, who family members described as passionate about riding motorcycles and deeply connected to the riding community. Loved ones say she had a lifelong love for two wheels and was proud to return to riding after a previous injury.<\/p>\n
