A Butler County man has died following a boating accident off a Pennsylvania state park, according to officials.<\/p>\n
NBC News affiliate WICU reported that the incident occurred around 8 a.m. Tuesday, when a boat carrying five men was traveling a few miles from Erie Bluffs State Park. Authorities say the vessel began taking on water before eventually capsizing.<\/p>\n
Four of the men were able to make it to the surface after the boat overturned, but one did not resurface.<\/p>\n
The Erie County Coroner later identified the victim as David Rodgers, 63, of Chicora. Officials confirmed that his death was ruled an accidental drowning.<\/p>\n
Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Rodgers was later recovered and pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
