JONESBORO, Ark. \u2014 A 20-year-old Manila man was killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning on East Highland Drive in Jonesboro, according to the Arkansas State Police. The victim was identified as Wesley Palmer.<\/p>\n
The crash occurred at approximately 7:24 a.m. on July 2, 2026, at the intersection of East Highland Drive (Highway 18) and Easley Lane. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a serious collision involving multiple vehicles.<\/p>\n
According to the preliminary investigation, Palmer was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 westbound when the pickup crossed the center left-turn lane and collided with an eastbound 2025 Freightliner. The force of the impact pushed the Freightliner into the outside lane, where it struck an eastbound 2018 GMC Yukon.<\/p>\n
Palmer suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead. Authorities also reported that a minor passenger in the GMC Yukon sustained unspecified injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. No additional injuries have been released.<\/p>\n
The collision prompted the closure of East Highland Drive for approximately two hours as police, firefighters, and road crews investigated the scene and cleared the damaged vehicles. According to Jonesboro E-911, the roadway reopened shortly before 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
