The Marshall Police Department is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday morning at the intersection of Loop 390 and Scottsville Road, marking the second deadly traffic incident in the city this week.<\/p>\n
At approximately 9:52 a.m. on June 12, 2026, officers responded to reports of a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a truck. Upon arrival, emergency crews with the Marshall Fire Department provided immediate medical assistance and transported the driver of the passenger vehicle to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he later succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n
The victim has been identified as Felton Augusta Hopkins Jr., 98, of Marshall. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the truck involved in the crash was not injured.<\/p>\n
