A tragic two-vehicle crash in Gillette, Wyoming, has claimed the life of Jordan Callender, 32, leaving family, friends, and the community mourning his sudden passing.<\/p>\n
The crash happened Wednesday afternoon shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Garner Lake Road in a construction zone. According to authorities, Callender was driving a 2021 GMC Sierra southbound on Garner Lake Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a red vacuum truck traveling northbound.<\/p>\n
Officials said the reason Callender\u2019s vehicle crossed into the opposite lane remains unknown. Deputy Tommie Verhasselt stated that investigators found no indication that Callender applied his brakes before the crash, while evidence showed brake marks from the vacuum truck.<\/p>\n
