The Batavia community is mourning the tragic loss of Robert Dinka, 47, who lost his life in a devastating motorcycle crash late Thursday night in Stonelick Township, Clermont County. The crash also left a 41-year-old woman from Mt. Orab seriously injured.<\/p>\n
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the fatal single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Thursday in the 1900 block of U.S. Route 50 in Stonelick Township.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Dinka was operating a 2015 Harley-Davidson Street Glide eastbound on U.S. Route 50 with the woman riding as his passenger when the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.<\/p>\n
Troopers reported that the motorcycle traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned. The violent impact caused catastrophic injuries to both occupants.<\/p>\n
Robert Dinka was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of emergency responders. His passing has left family, friends, and members of the Batavia community grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss.<\/p>\n
The female passenger sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
