Family, friends, and the Fair Bluff community are mourning the devastating loss of Amanda Green, 29, and her daughter, Arabella Powell, 11, who were killed in a tragic two-vehicle crash at Hinson\u2019s Crossroads in Columbus County, North Carolina, on Friday morning, July 10, 2026.<\/p>\n
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of Rough and Ready Road and Hinson\u2019s Crossroads Church Road.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Patricia Ann Jackson of Fayetteville failed to stop at a stop sign before her 2022 Toyota collided with Green\u2019s vehicle, striking it on the driver\u2019s side.<\/p>\n
Amanda Green of Fair Bluff and her daughter, Arabella Powell, died from injuries sustained in the crash.<\/p>\n
Officials said an adult female and two juveniles in Jackson\u2019s vehicle suffered minor injuries. Jackson was airlifted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Jackson was later charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle, failure to stop at a stop sign, and reckless driving.<\/p>\n
