A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed following a crash Thursday evening in Ogden, New York.<\/p>\n
Police responded to the intersection of Ogden-Parma Townline Road and Gillett Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving injuries. When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist deceased in the roadway.<\/p>\n
Authorities identified the rider as Steve Zahran, 24, of Parma. According to the Ogden Police Department, Zahran was operating a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling eastbound on Ogden-Parma Townline Road when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n
Investigators said Zahran was traveling above the posted 40 mph speed limit and, as he approached Gillett Road, passed an uninvolved vehicle in a no-passing zone. Police said the motorcycle then collided with a vehicle that was turning west onto Ogden-Parma Townline Road.<\/p>\n
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.<\/p>\n
