According to authorities, emergency crews were called at approximately 4:21 p.m. after receiving a report of an unresponsive woman found in the water near Salisbury Cove Road in Otis. Bystanders quickly responded, pulling Deborah from the pond and beginning CPR before first responders arrived.<\/p>\n
Members of the Hancock County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Maine Warden Service, and local fire department arrived and continued lifesaving efforts. Despite the dedication and efforts of everyone who tried to help, Deborah Wedge was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
