Preliminary findings indicate that Felix was a passenger in a 2008 Kenworth construction crane traveling north when one of the truck\u2019s tires suddenly ruptured. The unexpected tire failure caused the driver to lose control, and the crane truck overturned into the median.<\/p>\n
Felix sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased. The driver, Wilson Jacob Brick, 46, of Granite Quarry, suffered critical injuries and was transported to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh for treatment.<\/p>\n
