A 26-year-old Homer man has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a crash Wednesday on Route 281 near Meeting House Road, according to New York State Police.<\/p>\n
The victim was identified as Jacob P. Lyman, 26, of Homer.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. when an SUV was turning left from a parking lot onto Route 281 and collided with Lyman\u2019s motorcycle.<\/p>\n
The impact caused Lyman to be ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but he was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
The driver of the SUV, Robert M. Brhel, 73, of Fabius, was not injured in the crash.<\/p>\n
The incident remains under investigation by New York State Police as investigators work to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.<\/p>\n
