Family, friends, and members of the Bonaire community are grieving the heartbreaking loss of Anthony Asbell, 35, whose life ended following a medical emergency while he was housed at the Houston County Sheriff\u2019s Office Detention Center in Georgia on Sunday, July 19, 2026.<\/p>\n
Anthony\u2019s unexpected passing has left a deep void among those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered through the memories he created, the connections he made, and the moments he shared with his family, friends, and loved ones.<\/p>\n
According to the Houston County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Anthony suffered a medical emergency at approximately 2:45 p.m. while being housed at the detention center. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, he died as a result of the emergency.<\/p>\n
Following his death, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was notified and requested to conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding his passing. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the official cause and manner of death.<\/p>\n
As the investigation continues, additional questions regarding the case are being directed to the GBI\u2019s Perry Office.<\/p>\n
