Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that left a woman dead Saturday morning at an apartment complex in Jackson.<\/p>\n
Officers with the Jackson Police Department responded at approximately 11:20 a.m. on June 13, 2026, to Parkwood Trace Apartments, located just off Whitehall Street, after reports of a person found unresponsive in the parking lot.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they located 33-year-old Ashleey Nicolee suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the location.<\/p>\n
Police have not released any information about a possible suspect or motive. Investigators say the circumstances leading up to the shooting are still unclear as they work to determine exactly what happened.<\/p>\n
