West Virginia Woman Killed, Multiple Family Members Injured in Jenkins Collision

The Delbarton community, along with family and friends, is grieving the heartbreaking and sudden passing of Brenda Evans, 41, following a tragic two-vehicle crash on U.S. 23 near Pound Gap in Jenkins, Kentucky, early Thursday morning. 

According to officials, the crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. on Pound Mountain, an area where visibility was reportedly reduced at the time of the collision. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Brenda was pronounced deceased at Whitesburg ARH Hospital, marking a sudden and heartbreaking end to her journey.

Brenda was traveling with her family when the tragedy unfolded, turning what began as a routine trip into an unimaginable and life-altering moment. Her husband sustained serious injuries and remains under medical care, while other family members are also recovering from the crash. The incident has left the family facing both physical recovery and overwhelming emotional pain.
