With profound sadness, family, friends, and members of the Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Owen O’Hara, 19, whose life ended following a tragic single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Interstate 283 and Cloverleaf Road in Mount Joy Township on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. when Owen’s vehicle left the roadway, overturned onto its roof, struck a tree, and caught fire. Emergency crews responded and extinguished the fire, but Owen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The westbound off-ramp toward Cloverleaf Road was closed as emergency responders worked at the scene and authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash.
