Dothan Woman Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Ross Clark Circle

DOTHAN, Ala. — A 29-year-old Dothan woman was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Ross Clark Circle, according to the Dothan Police Department.

Officers responded shortly after 4 a.m. on July 17 to the 600 block of Ross Clark Circle following a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle.

Police identified the victim as Quinteria Reaves, 29, of Dothan. Investigators said Reaves was crossing Ross Clark Circle when she was struck by a passing vehicle.

First responders arrived at the scene and attempted to provide lifesaving assistance, but Reaves was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dothan Police Department’s CRASH Team, which is working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

Following the tragedy, the department shared condolences with Reaves’ loved ones, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Ms. Reaves as they go through this difficult time.”

The loss of Quinteria Reaves has left family, friends, and members of the Dothan community mourning a life taken too soon. As the investigation continues, those who knew her are remembering her and offering support to her loved ones during this difficult time.
