Three Teens Charged in Fatal Augusta Airbnb Shooting

Family members, friends, and members of the Augusta community are mourning the tragic loss of 18-year-old Eric Markquis Bartley Miller, who was killed during a chaotic shooting early Saturday morning at a rented Airbnb home on Warren Road.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly before 1 a.m. after reports of gunfire at a residence in the 200 block of Warren Road. When authorities arrived, they found two 18-year-old men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by officials, marking a devastating loss for his family and loved ones. His sudden and violent death has left the community grieving and struggling to understand what led to the deadly incident.

The second victim, Joseph Lamar Thomas, was also shot and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released updates on his condition.

Within hours of the shooting, investigators arrested three teenagers in connection with the case, all of whom are now facing murder and other charges. Authorities have not yet released details on what sparked the violence inside the Airbnb rental, and it remains unclear whether the victims were specifically targeted.
