Woman Killed, Several Others Injured in Fatal Collision on FM 973 in Manor

MANOR, Texas — A 23-year-old woman was killed and several others, including two young children, were seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning on FM 973, according to the Manor Police Department.

Authorities said officers responded to the 11700 block of North FM 973 Road at approximately 3:58 a.m. on June 21, 2026, after receiving an automated crash alert. Officers arrived within minutes and discovered two vehicles with significant damage from the collision.

Emergency personnel from ATCEMS and Travis County Emergency Services District No. 12 responded to the scene to assist multiple victims suffering from critical and life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the deceased driver as 23-year-old Jennifer Hernandez, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials, Hernandez was traveling in a vehicle carrying three passengers, including two young children. An 11-month-old child suffered critical injuries, and officers immediately began CPR before emergency medical personnel continued lifesaving efforts. The child was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.

A second child, approximately two years old, was also transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. An adult male passenger in the vehicle sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle was trapped inside following the crash and had to be extricated by fire personnel. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have not yet released additional information regarding the circumstances that led to the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office Highway Enforcement and Accident Team and the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol responded to assist with the investigation.

In a statement, the Manor Police Department extended its condolences to the family and friends of those affected by the tragic incident.

The identities of the surviving occupants have not been released as authorities continue their investigation.
