In Loving Memory of Maddison Hayden

Family members, friends, and members of the Lowell, Vermont community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of 22-year-old Maddison Hayden, who tragically lost her life in a fatal crash on Thursday night.

According to Vermont State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m. on Newton Road near Cheney Road when a Polaris RZR side-by-side vehicle overturned on the roadway. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of a serious rollover crash.

Authorities confirmed that Maddison Hayden, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found at the scene and was pronounced deceased as a result of the crash. Her sudden passing has left her loved ones devastated as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of a young life taken far too soon.

The operator of the vehicle, identified as 27-year-old Randy Lemieux of Lowell, reported no injuries following the crash. Investigators later stated that troopers observed indicators of impairment at the scene. Following a screening, Lemieux was arrested and charged with DUI resulting in death. He was transported to the Northern State Correctional Facility on bail and is scheduled to appear in Orleans Criminal Court.
