In Loving Memory of Harald Dee Hiser Jr.

With profound sadness, family members and friends are mourning the tragic loss of 64-year-old Harald Dee Hiser Jr., who lost his life in a fatal motorcycle crash in Bedford County, Virginia.

Harald was involved in a devastating collision early Thursday morning on Route 501 at the intersection of Route 841. According to Virginia State Police, he was riding a 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it struck a deer in the roadway at approximately 1:20 a.m. on June 25, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but despite wearing a helmet, Harald sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The sudden and unexpected nature of the crash has left his loved ones in shock and deep sorrow.
