In Loving Memory of Hunter Brumley

Family, friends, classmates, and members of the Phillipsburg community are mourning the tragic and untimely passing of Hunter Brumley, 17, who lost his life in a devastating pickup truck rollover crash in Laclede County, Missouri.

Hunter passed away during the early morning hours of Saturday after a single-vehicle crash on Highway B near Creek Road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. as Hunter was driving his pickup truck southbound on Highway B. Investigators said the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation. Troopers reported that the driver then overcorrected, causing the pickup truck to cross back over the roadway, leave the left side of the highway, and overturn.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Hunter sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities also reported that Hunter was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and has not released additional information regarding possible contributing factors.

Hunter’s sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. At just 17 years old, he had his whole future ahead of him. His family and friends are now left with cherished memories of the time they shared, finding comfort in the love, laughter, and moments that will forever remain in their hearts.
