Family members, friends, and members of the Crossett, Arkansas, community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kyle Ricks, 33, whose life was tragically cut short following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 near Minden, Louisiana, on Monday evening.
According to Louisiana State Police, the collision occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the U.S. Highway 371 intersection. Investigators said Kyle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 20 in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado when his vehicle collided with the rear of a Kenworth tractor-trailer traveling ahead of him.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Kyle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
