Authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a husband and wife were found dead inside their southwest Oklahoma City home on Wednesday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded shortly after 10 a.m. on July 1 to a residence in the 12000 block of Southwest 4th Street, near Reno Avenue and Czech Hall Road, following reports of a shooting.
When officers entered the home, they found two people deceased with apparent gunshot wounds. Investigators later determined that the victims were Bruce Hudson, 64, and his wife, Deanna Hudson, 62.
Based on the evidence collected at the scene, detectives believe Bruce Hudson fatally shot Deanna before taking his own life. Authorities have emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The case has deeply affected the surrounding community, highlighting the devastating consequences that domestic violence can have on individuals and families. While investigators continue their work, officials have not released additional details regarding the events leading up to the shooting.
