The Blountsville, Alabama community is deeply mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kortni Nairmore, 17, whose life was tragically lost in a two-vehicle crash in Blount County on the evening of July 3, 2026.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the collision occurred around 7:10 p.m. on Blount County 27 near Blount County 24, just south of Springville. Authorities said Kortni was operating a 2020 Toyota Camry when it collided head-on with a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. The impact caused the Camry to catch fire, and despite rapid emergency response, Kortni was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four additional individuals involved in the crash were injured and transported to nearby hospitals, including UAB Hospital, for medical treatment. Officials confirmed that the incident remains under investigation as troopers work to determine the full circumstances leading up to the crash.
Kortni’s sudden passing has left an overwhelming sense of grief among her family, friends, classmates, and everyone who knew her. At just 17 years old, she had a future ahead of her that ended far too soon, leaving behind cherished memories and deep sorrow in the hearts of those closest to her.
