According to Cleveland Police, officers responded around 3:18 a.m. to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of East 102nd Street and Sophia Avenue. While responding to the scene, officers were approached by two 17-year-old girls who reported they had been shot nearby.
When officers arrived at the location, they discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds, including a 21-year-old man and 30-year-old Sharon Darius Walker. Authorities confirmed that Sharon was pronounced dead at the scene in the roadway. Three other victims, including the two teenagers, were transported to a local hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing, and police have not released further details at this time.
