Blaine Warnimont Killed, Two Others Injured in Fulton County Crash

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday evening in York Township, Fulton County.

According to troopers, the crash happened at approximately 5:27 p.m. on July 5, 2026, at the intersection of State Route 109 and County Road D.

Investigators say a 2002 Ford Windstar, driven by 29-year-old Blaine Warnimont of Cloverdale, was traveling south on State Route 109. At the same time, a 2015 GMC Terrain, driven by 25-year-old Gabriel Caley of Fayette, was traveling west on County Road D. Authorities report that Caley failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection, striking Warnimont’s vehicle.

Following the impact, both vehicles left the roadway at the southwest corner of the intersection and struck a utility pole and cable box before coming to rest in a nearby cornfield.

Warnimont was transported by ambulance to Fulton County Health Center, where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries. He was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Caley was also transported to Fulton County Health Center, where he was treated for minor injuries. A passenger in Warnimont’s vehicle was taken to The University of Toledo Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing as troopers continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Wauseon Fire Department, and Delta Community Fire Department.

Authorities continue to remind motorists of the importance of wearing safety belts at all times and obeying all traffic control devices to help prevent serious and fatal crashes.
