In Loving Memory of Phillip Johnson, Kevin Igo, and Frank Talarico

With profound sadness, family members, friends, and members of the Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, community are grieving the loss of Phillip Johnson, 53, Kevin Igo, 26, and Frank Talarico, 29, whose lives ended following a tragic triple homicide shooting in Great Bend Township on July 13, 2026.

The devastating incident occurred on the evening of Monday, July 13, 2026, when members of the Pennsylvania State Police responded to a residence at 1208 Baptist Hill Road in Great Bend Township after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, troopers discovered Phillip, Kevin, and Frank deceased at the scene.

Authorities later identified Garrett Austin Johnson, 29, of Hallstead, Pennsylvania, as the accused in the case. Johnson was taken into custody a short distance from the residence, and investigators recovered the firearm involved in the incident. He has been charged with three counts of Criminal Homicide, along with additional charges including Simple Assault, Resisting Arrest, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jodi L. Cordner and remanded to the Lackawanna County Prison without bail.

The tragic loss of Phillip, Kevin, and Frank has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of their families, friends, and loved ones. Their lives were defined by the people they cared for, the memories they created, and the impact they had on those around them—not by the tragedy that ended their lives.

Phillip Johnson, Kevin Igo, and Frank Talarico will be remembered for the moments they shared, the relationships they built, and the lives they touched. Though their time was taken far too soon, their memories will continue to live on through the people who knew and loved them.

As their families navigate this unimaginable grief, they are surrounded by prayers, compassion, and support from the communities standing beside them. The pain of such a sudden loss cannot be measured, but the love and memories left behind will remain a source of strength.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, with the Pennsylvania State Police Troop R Major Case Team, Forensic Services Unit, CARS, and the Susquehanna County District Attorney’s Office assisting in the case. Authorities have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.

May the families of Phillip Johnson, Kevin Igo, and Frank Talarico find comfort in the memories they shared and strength in the love surrounding them. Their lives ended far too soon, but they will remain forever remembered, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
