According to the Boston Police Department, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) responded at approximately 11:53 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to the area of 15 York Street after receiving a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found Breidy suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders with Boston EMS provided assistance, but despite efforts to save him, Breidy was pronounced deceased at the scene.
