Charles Talley, 36, Identified as Victim in Fatal Alexandria Shooting

The Alexandria Police Department has identified the victim who was killed in a homicide investigation Wednesday at the ParcView Apartments.

Authorities identified the victim as Charles Talley, 36, who had no fixed address.

According to police, officers responded at approximately 1:41 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, to the 5300 block of Holmes Run Parkway after receiving reports of gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found Talley suffering from a gunshot wound. Police immediately began life-saving efforts, but Talley was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.

Authorities said there is no known ongoing threat to the community. Detectives continue investigating the case by interviewing witnesses, processing evidence, and following additional leads.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area and may have seen or heard anything unusual before, during, or after the shooting to come forward. Police said even small details could help establish a timeline or identify those responsible.

Authorities are especially seeking any available doorbell camera footage, security video, cellphone photos or videos, dash camera footage, or information about people or vehicles in the area.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue working to gather information surrounding the deadly shooting.
