With profound sadness and heavy hearts, family, friends, and members of the Wahoo, Nebraska, community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Marvin Fujan, 89, and his wife, Mildred Fujan, 84, whose lives ended in a tragic crash in Saunders County, Nebraska.
According to the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal collision happened Sunday afternoon on Highway 79 at County Road V near Prague shortly before 3:30 p.m. Authorities said an initial investigation revealed that a red 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling southbound on Highway 79 when Marvin, who was driving, attempted to turn east onto County Road V.
During the turn, the Dodge Ram entered the path of a northbound 1994 Ford F350. The driver of the Ford was unable to avoid the collision, resulting in a devastating crash.
Mildred, who was a passenger in the Dodge Ram, was pronounced dead at the scene. Marvin was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Ford sustained injuries, including a suspected leg fracture, along with other injuries. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing as authorities continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Marvin and Mildred were a married couple from Wahoo. Their sudden passing has left their family, friends, and community members grieving the loss of two lives that were deeply connected and cherished by those who knew them.
