Family, friends, and members of the Milton, Kentucky community are mourning the tragic and sudden loss of 39-year-old David Logan of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, who died following a devastating crash Tuesday on Highway 421.
According to the Kentucky State Police, the crash occurred when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction crossed the center line and collided head-on with Logan’s truck. The impact triggered a vehicle fire and caused extensive damage to both vehicles. The roadway was shut down for several hours as emergency crews responded and investigators worked the scene.
David Logan was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts from first responders. His sudden passing has left family and loved ones devastated, struggling to come to terms with the unexpected loss of a man described as a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.
In a heartfelt tribute shared by Michael Yates, he expressed the family’s grief, saying David “didn’t deserve this” and was “an amazing husband and father.” He added that the family “didn’t just lose a brother today, we lost one of the most important people in our lives,” expressing deep sorrow and disbelief over the tragedy. He also shared that David was on his way to the farm early that morning when the crash occurred, stating that a driver allegedly under the influence crossed into his lane and struck him head-on. “I’m so sick, sad and hurt,” he wrote, urging others to “hug your loved ones tight,” and ending with, “Love you DLO til we meet again, brother.”
Three children and an adult who were in the other vehicle were also seriously injured and transported by air to hospitals in Louisville for emergency treatment. Officials confirmed that all four victims sustained significant injuries and remain under medical care.
