MILTON, Ky. — A tragic crash and vehicle fire on Highway 421 in Milton Tuesday left one man dead and several others seriously injured, according to authorities.
The Kentucky State Police identified the victim as 39-year-old David Logan of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was pronounced dead at the scene following the violent collision.

Three children and an adult who were in the other vehicle were flown to hospitals in Louisville with serious injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 29-year-old woman driving with children crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck Logan’s truck head-on. The impact caused both vehicles to be heavily damaged and sparked a fire at the scene.
The crash shut down Highway 421 for several hours near Milton as emergency crews responded, provided aid, and worked to clear the wreckage. Traffic in the area was detoured while investigators documented the scene.
Residents nearby reported hearing a loud impact followed by smoke rising from the roadway. One local witness described the moment as sudden and alarming, noting that the force of the crash made it immediately clear something serious had occurred.
All four survivors were transported for emergency medical treatment. The children were taken to Norton Children’s Hospital, while the driver of the car was flown to UofL Hospital. Authorities confirmed all sustained serious injuries.
Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and no further details have been released at this time. Logan’s next of kin has been notified.
