The Benton County Sheriff’s Office has released new details following the discovery of two individuals found deceased inside a vehicle parked off Old Highway 68/412 near Siloam Springs.
According to officials, on June 17, 2026, deputies responded after receiving a report of two individuals who appeared to be deceased inside a parked vehicle. Upon arrival, Benton County Sheriff’s Office detectives confirmed both individuals were deceased at the scene.
The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Kena Donshaie Knapper and 5-year-old Tyler Zane Winston, both residents of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Arkansas State Medical Examiner has since completed preliminary determinations regarding the manner of death. Officials confirmed that Tyler Winston’s death has been ruled a homicide, while Kena Knapper’s death has been ruled a suicide.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident, and investigators continue to work to establish a complete timeline of events.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office stated it is currently awaiting the final written report from the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory. Officials noted that, because the full report has not yet been completed and finalized, the entire investigative file cannot be publicly released at this time.
