According to the Maine State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 12:48 a.m. on June 20, 2026, after authorities were notified by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office of a serious motor vehicle crash in the town of Charlotte. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found Boggia had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators said the vehicle had been traveling at an extremely high rate of speed prior to the crash. Reports indicate Boggia was seen earlier in the evening in Calais driving a red Corvette at speeds estimated around 150 miles per hour.
