19-Year-Old Kaleb Stampley Fatally Shot Near Fortune Addition Park

A 19-year-old has died following a shooting Sunday evening in Baton Rouge, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Authorities identified the victim as Kaleb Stampley, 19, who was fatally shot around 7 p.m. along Blue Grass Drive, near BREC’s Fortune Addition Park.

Police said officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and located the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency response efforts, Stampley did not survive.

No additional details have been released regarding a suspect or what led to the shooting. Investigators have not announced any arrests, and the case remains active.
