A fatal daylight shooting in Williamsport on Monday afternoon has left an 18-year-old dead, according to the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office.
Officials identified the victim as 18-year-old Nasir I. Kramer of Funston Avenue in Williamsport. Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. said Kramer was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m. Monday following the shooting.
An autopsy conducted Tuesday at Forensic Pathology Associates in Allentown determined Kramer died from multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of death has been officially ruled a homicide.
The shooting occurred in a Williamsport neighborhood and prompted a large police response to the scene. Investigators quickly launched an active inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Williamsport Bureau of Police continues to investigate the homicide. At this time, authorities say no arrests have been made.
Officials have also not released any information regarding a suspect or possible motive in the case.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing as they work to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses in the area.
