CONWAY, S.C. — The Conway Police Department is investigating a homicide following an incident in the 1400 block of 6th Avenue early Sunday morning.
According to officials, the City of Conway Fire Department responded at approximately 7:40 a.m. on Sunday to a reported medical call. Upon arrival, responders located a deceased female at the scene and requested assistance from the Conway Police Department.
Officers arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased. She was later identified by family members as Shantavious Manner.
Police confirmed that one individual has been detained and arrested in connection with the case. However, officials have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident or a possible motive.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
