With profound sadness, family, friends, and members of the Macon community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Linda King, 54, and her 9-year-old granddaughter, Skylar Harden, who tragically lost their lives in a fatal crash on Interstate 75 Sunday afternoon.
According to the Macon-Bibb County Coroner’s Office, Linda and Skylar died from injuries they sustained in the collision and were both pronounced dead at the scene. The Georgia State Patrol reported that the crash occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m. on I-75 North near Rocky Creek Road. Preliminary findings indicate that Linda was driving a Dodge Charger when it sideswiped a Ram 2500 pickup truck. The vehicle then left the roadway and overturned. The crash also seriously injured Linda’s 6-year-old grandson, who remains in critical condition at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The loss of Linda and Skylar has left an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved them.
