Cleveland County EMS Paramedic Ashley Moore Killed; Driver Held Without Bond

The Cleveland County community is mourning the tragic loss of Ashley Moore, 37, a dedicated paramedic who died following a crash, while authorities have arrested and charged a driver in connection with the incident.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Jared ONeil Logan was arrested and charged with Driving While Impaired, Reckless Driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and second-degree murder without regard to others following the crash that claimed Moore’s life. Logan is being held at the Gaston County Jail without bond.

Moore was a longtime member of Cleveland County EMS and proudly served the community for nine years. She was remembered for her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to helping others. Through her work as a paramedic, Moore touched countless lives and was known for her dedication to caring for people during emergencies.

Her death has left family members, friends, coworkers, and fellow first responders devastated. Those who worked alongside her described her as someone who represented the very best of the EMS profession and dedicated herself to serving others.
