With profound sadness, family, friends, and members of the Milford community are mourning the tragic loss of Jessica Bradley, 38, and Brooks Bradley, 43, following a devastating incident at their home in the Sugar Maple Farms community.
According to the Delaware State Police, troopers responded around 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, to the 7000 block of Sugar Maple Drive after receiving a 911 call from a man who reported that he had killed his wife before ending the call.
Authorities said dispatchers and responding troopers made several attempts to establish contact, but those efforts were unsuccessful. Members of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team later entered the residence, where they discovered Jessica Bradley with a fatal gunshot wound and Brooks Bradley suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
