The Grand Prairie community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Gina Murphy, 50, of Dallas County, who tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning.

The tragic crash happened on July 5 at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the 900 block of South Belt Line Road. According to the Grand Prairie Police Department, a Maserati traveling northbound on Belt Line Road failed to negotiate a curve and struck Gina while she was on the roadway.
First responders with the Grand Prairie Fire Department arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Gina was pronounced dead at approximately 6:42 a.m. Her sudden passing has created a painful void for her loved ones and a reminder of how quickly life can change.
