Anna Lisa Coulter, 33, Killed in Tragic Single-Vehicle Crash in Shreveport, Louisiana

The Shreveport community is mourning the loss of Anna Lisa Coulter, 33, who died following a tragic single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Fern Avenue.

According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers were called to the 5800 block of Fern Avenue near Business Park Drive at approximately 6:16 a.m. on July 12, 2026, after receiving reports of a serious crash.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 2012 Fiat 500 overturned on its side. The Shreveport Fire Department responded and discovered a small fire in the vehicle’s engine compartment. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and worked to safely remove the driver from the vehicle.

The driver, later identified as Anna Lisa Coulter, was found critically injured. Despite the efforts of emergency crews, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Due to the fatal nature of the collision, the Shreveport Police Crash Investigations Unit responded to conduct a detailed investigation. Preliminary information indicates that Coulter was traveling southbound on Fern Avenue when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned.

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. Officials continue to examine all available evidence as they work to understand the circumstances that led to the crash.

The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and took custody of Coulter’s remains.
