CLINTON, S.C. — A 49-year-old man has died following an ATV crash that occurred over the July 4th holiday weekend in Laurens County.
The victim was identified as Wesley Gillian, 49, of Clinton, South Carolina. According to the Laurens County Coroner’s Office, officials were notified on July 6, 2026, of a death at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital involving injuries sustained in an ATV crash.
The crash happened on July 4, 2026, at approximately 8:26 p.m. on Lake Road in Clinton. Authorities said Gillian was injured in the crash and later died from those injuries.
The Laurens County Coroner’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, which is handling the crash investigation.
Officials have not released additional details about what led to the ATV crash. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the events that resulted in the fatal incident.
