A 43-year-old motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning following a two-vehicle crash in Bristol, Tennessee, according to police.
The victim was identified as Joshua Lee Mumpower of Bristol, Tennessee. Authorities said he was seriously injured in the crash and later pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.
According to police, the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. in the 2600 block of Volunteer Parkway. Investigators said the driver of a pickup truck was crossing the roadway when the vehicle was struck by Mumpower’s motorcycle, which was traveling north.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided assistance before Mumpower was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the collision.
