A 26-year-old Homer man has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a crash Wednesday on Route 281 near Meeting House Road, according to New York State Police.
The victim was identified as Jacob P. Lyman, 26, of Homer.
Investigators said the crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. when an SUV was turning left from a parking lot onto Route 281 and collided with Lyman’s motorcycle.
The impact caused Lyman to be ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the SUV, Robert M. Brhel, 73, of Fabius, was not injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by New York State Police as investigators work to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
