Two Men Found Dead Inside East Taylor Township Home Identified; Investigation Continues

Two men found dead inside an East Taylor Township home on Wednesday morning have been identified as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees identified the men as 69-year-old Richard Ling, who lived at the residence, and his neighbor, 55-year-old Marc Cober.

Authorities said the two men were found deceased on the first floor of the home, located in the 300 block of Faight Court, in the kitchen area.

Investigators said suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia were found near the men’s bodies, including a white powdery substance that was collected by law enforcement for further examination.

Coroner Lees said neither man showed signs of internal injuries or external trauma. Following autopsies, officials determined that both men are believed to have died around the same time.

However, the official cause and manner of death remain pending toxicology results, which typically take four to six weeks to complete.

Authorities said one of the men lived at the home alone, while the other was visiting him at the time of the incident. First responders also tested the residence for possible carbon monoxide exposure, but those tests came back negative.

The Cambria County Coroner’s Office, Cambria County District Attorney’s Office, and East Taylor Township Police Department are assisting with the ongoing death investigation.

Officials said additional follow-up will be conducted once toxicology results are available to help determine what led to the deaths of Richard Ling and Marc Cober.
